What you should know about Elite Adventures
Our company has been operating now for over ten years and our local guides have many years of experience guiding international visitors around our unique environment. We will ensure a safe, comfortable and informative insight of New Zealand’s ecology and culture. To support the environment in which we operate we support several conservation efforts Save the Kiwi fund and Mt Ngongotaha Bush Restoration Trust. Elite Adventures’ local guides have indepth knowledge about the flora, fauna, geothermal and volcanic activity and also our Maori culture.

Pickup from Rotorua Accommodation 450 ND Time by arrangement approximately four hours. The tour includes a attractive native bush walk to a waterfall and Lake Tarawera lookouts. Then finishing the day visiting the pristine and serene lakes of our amazing volcanic region, including views of Mount Tarawera with explanation of volcanic and Maori history. We then drive around the Rotorua Lakefront, seeing it’s historical sites and geothermal activity. We then take a brief drive out to Fresh Zealand’s largest energetic boiling mud pool, then onto the colorful geothermal park of Mai O tap. This range from 1 2 days to mufti day tours of Rotorua and the Central North Island. Now choose either a walk through Waimangu Volcanic Valley, a scenic geothermal valley containing New Zealand’s largest warm spring and spectacular native bush. Pick up from accommodation then drive through forestry and farmland to NZ’s largest boiling mud pool and a series of colorful hot springs at Mai o tap. We offer tours through many of Rotorua’s attractions that do not present guided tours.
Next we visit the Lakefront area to see the Maori War Canoe and learn more about Maori history and customs. Rotorua is different any store in the world, with unique Maori culture, outstanding wildlife and native forest, breathtaking lakes and rivers, prehistoric volcanoes inactive and active, and potent geothermal systems which includes geysers and boiling mud pools.
